Your First Class at The Collective

You don’t need experience, a uniform, or a certain fitness level to take your first class. Come ready to learn. We’ll help you get settled.

Before you arrive

Book your free class through our website and choose the program and date that work for you. Your waiver will be emailed to you; sign it before class.

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early. Wear comfortable workout clothes and sandals, and bring water. If you’re trying a Gi class, we’ll help fit you for a uniform.

What class feels like

You’ll meet the team and get an introduction to the training. Our coaches explain techniques step by step. You aren’t expected to know the names of the moves or get everything right on your first day.

Ask questions, take your time, and focus on learning one thing at a time. Everyone on the mats started somewhere.

For parents bringing a child

Let us know if your child is nervous or has questions. We can introduce them to a coach and help them understand what to expect. Comfortable clothes, sandals, water, and a little extra time before class are a good start.

Your first step is showing up

The first class is a chance to meet us, try the training, and see how it feels. Have a question before booking? Reach out—we’re happy to help.
